OMG, I'm so excited to reach out to you! 🎉💗 I'm Dr. Tamara MC, and I'm that friend who still has her Caboodles organizer filled with Lip Smackers, cries happy tears during Pretty in Pink, and firmly believes the 80s and 90s were humanity's peak creative period! 🛼💄✨
This is an invitation-only project (for now!) because I'm starting with all the rad people whose work I absolutely love and admire—and that totally includes YOU! 🌟💕🦩
I'm creating the Gen X-traordinaire Questionnaire—a place for us to see, hear, and understand each other through sharing our stories. Like a totally feel-good Hallmark movie but for Gen Xers! 🎀 This project focuses on the good stuff from our youth (I know not everyone had perfect childhoods, but we all have some sweet memories tucked away like old friendship bracelets, right?) plus celebrating who we've become today. 💖🌸
This passion project comes from my deep love of nostalgia and belief that our generation needs a space to connect and celebrate. When we're dealing with hot flashes, reading glasses, and all the adulting stuff, sometimes we need to remember the pure joy of finding the perfect Lisa Frank folder or nailing the moonwalk at the school dance! 💖🦄🩰
Take your time—45 minutes or 100 hours, whatever works! I'll feature selected submissions on my Substack whenever the stars align (I work on Gen X time—no schedules!), and I'm totally hoping to create an anthology someday! 📚✨🌈
